Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone



We all have a comfort zone where we feel safe, warm and always in control. We need to always step out of the comfort zone from time to time and be challenged.
Most times when people hear about comfort zone, they relate it to just an environment or a geographical area. It could be though, but the major comfort zone that keeps us trapped and stagnant lies within us. There’s a saying, “if there’s no enemy within, the enemy without will do us no harm.”

Each time you think about taking that bold step, the voice within will always want to convince you that you are not qualified or you cannot make it even if you try.
It could be volunteering for something you’ve never done before, something you feel nervous about.
It could be recording a new song.  It could be taking up a new sport or hubby. It could also be doing something alone that you’ve only ever done in company before or speaking up for yourself when you usually keep quiet. We are always trapped in our comfort zone.

5 Reasons you should step out of your comfort zone

R1: Comfort Zone can make you feel Neglected, worthless or even Lousy

R2: You will always grow stagnant in your comfort zone (No passion for new things, No room for Development)

R3: Comfort Zone never allow you face Challenges (You’ll always quit in your mind without trying)

R4: Comfort Zone makes you feel so warm and safe but chances are it’ll either start to shrink or crumble.

R5: Comfort Zone never allow you to think outside the box

Most times we impose a lot of restrictions on ourselves that limits us and hold us back. Stepping outside your Comfort Zone brings you out of yourself and keeps you in a state of learning and growth. Remember, life is not worth living if there’s no room for improvement.
The greatest gift you can give to yourself today is stepping out of that trap called The Comfort Zone.
